About Us

In 1995 we began a journey. Along the way we visited the happy people of River City, Iowa in THE MUSIC MAN, the fascinating leaders of our country in 1776, Tevye and his family in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, the Land of Canaan in JOSEPH, the hills of Austria in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, foggy London in MY FAIR LADY, the orphans of ANNIE, OLIVER and PETER PAN, the fun of SOUTH PACIFIC, DISNEY'S BEAUTRY AND THE BEAST, INTO THE WOODS and DISNEY'S ALADDIN JR. and the return of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

We began this production company (Gaylord Community Productions, Inc.) for the sole purpose of bringing together the many talented members of our community to display their talents while entertaining their families and friends. Thanks to our many supporters we were able to help equip the Alan L. Gornick auditorium with air conditioning. Once that goal was met we researched our next important "step". We have a strong Board of Directors and it is our dream that we will be able to provide scholarships for individuals who plan to study the Performing Arts and expand their knowledge of the many facets of live theatre.
